A Few More Halloween Characters

Here are a few more of the Art Cards. This second set did not fall off my brush quite as easily.
I do not know why the words are in between and on the pictures ... Oh the frustration of not knowing how to run the Blog.... Auuugghhh :-( Now the pictures have all vanished except one!!! I will try again.

Well, at least I have words and pictures both here...

A few Halloween Characters with Watercolor and Ink

For the past few days I have been making some ACEO cards. I can't remember just what the letters stand for but, it is Art Trading Cards. The size is very specific, 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches. The ones I have here are for Halloween. They are my own designs painted with ink and watercolor. I made a few of these a couple of years ago and had fun with them. I decided to try it again just to see if I could make up more that were kind of fun. Halloween is an easy holiday because there are many simple shapes that are not too hard to draw... pumpkins, bats, cats etc. I have a few other ideas in mind but, I do not know if I will get around to painting them.

Great art week for me!

I just heard via e-mail that two of the paintings I submitted to the Utah Watercolor Society were accepted for their Fall Show. That is exciting for me because last year I sent two paintings to be juried for the UWS 2008 Fall Show, and those paintings were not accepted.
The two that were juried in for this year are:
Mountain Pasture and
Wide River

Another good art news for me this week ...
Sandi, who I often paint with, works part time in Park City with an environmental concern. They have an eco-friendly building there that has a little gift shop. Sandi took a few paintings from some of her art friends for display in that shop and one of my oil paintings sold this week.
This painting might look familiar. It was in the 2008 July Sandy Senior Art Show last summer. The painting is:
Little House

Family Faces

These are a few faces that my neice asked me to make for her. She is going to use them in a children's program about families. Hopfully I have made enough different ages, and looks for her to choose from. I hope this is what she had in mind.
