I just heard via e-mail that two of the paintings I submitted to the Utah Watercolor Society were accepted for their Fall Show. That is exciting for me because last year I sent two paintings to be juried for the UWS 2008 Fall Show, and those paintings were not accepted.
The two that were juried in for this year are:
Mountain Pasture and
Wide River
Another good art news for me this week ...
Sandi, who I often paint with, works part time in Park City with an environmental concern. They have an eco-friendly building there that has a little gift shop. Sandi took a few paintings from some of her art friends for display in that shop and one of my oil paintings sold this week. This painting might look familiar. It was in the 2008 July Sandy Senior Art Show last summer. The painting is:
