Two finished Oils - Landscapes

Two Trees (above) -- Aspens (below)

I have been working on these two oil landscapes since the summer and finally, finally I have them to a state that I am calling finished...
Two Trees, comes from a combination of photos taken from a small mountain road by my sister's family cabin near the Currant Creek Dam above Strawberry Reservoir. Aspen is from my own imagination. Its basic underlying design comes from an original watercolor I did a year to two ago.
I am so glad to finally get the frames on and have them both hanging in my studio. I may not go back and try to tweek this or that spot, as I am prone to do. It is easy to do that with oil or acrylic. With a watercolor too much tweeking and the whole piece is ruined. I think you could paint over and over and over on an oil and it just gets thicker with paint and a different color.

little bit...
I do a ...little bit... of art. I plan to post some of my paintings and add comments. I like to read and I also hope to add a ...little bit... of book discussion from time to time. I always have at least a ...little bit... of an opinion about most things. I plan to practice this blog and get so I can use it a ...little bit... better. Just in case I haven't worn out my ...little bit... of silliness, my sister used to call me ...Little Bit... which I liked. If you know me, you know the name still fits at least a ...little bit ...
